- Contract will consist of maintenance dredging of Marcus Hook and New Castle Ranges of the Delaware River Channel from Station 117+000 to Station 237+000. Salient information: a) Dredging will be performed to a depth of 43 feet to 44 feet plus 1 foot allowable over depth limited by a vertical plane through the required depth contour; b) Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the channel limits where shoaling occurs along the channel edge within the authorized channel limits; c) No side slopes or end slopes are specified for this contract; d) The use of hopper and mechanical/bucket dredges will not be permitted under this contract; e) The Government-furnished disposal areas available for use under this contract are Pedricktown North, and Killcohook Area Number 1; f) The awarded contract will contain Liquidated Damages at a rate to be specified in the Solicitation. The contract work may also consist of Option 1, to complete New Castle Range and Marcus Hook Range (using Wilmington North disposal area) prior to mobilizing to the Christina River entrance channel adjacent to Cherry Island Range. Solicitation No. W912BU-16-B-0012 will be issued as an unrestricted procurement on or about 15 June 2016 with a bid opening date of 15 July 2016 at 11:00 a.m. All work must be completed no later than 31 December 2016. If Option 1 is awarded, contract period of performance will be extended an additional 30 calendar days. Estimated cost range of this project is $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00 and the NAICS code for this project is 237990 (SIC 1629) with a size standard of $27.5 million dollars. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FBO Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Contractors who have receive a federal contract of $100,000.00 or greater, except as waived, must have submitted the required annual form VETS-100 Federal Contractor Veteran's Employment Report (VETS-100 Report and/or VETS 100A Report), are required in FAR 22.1310 (b) on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 1-703-461-2460 or by accessing the following Internet website: http://www.vets100.com. All contractors must be registered in the DODs System for Award Management (SAM) database as required by DFARS 204.7300. Davis Bacon rates will be applicable to the construction and bonding is required. Please review all bonds and accompanying documents required to be submitted.
