Description
The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CMCVAMC) located at 3900 Woodland Avenue in Philadelphia, PA 19104 is looking for an a qualified Service Disable Veterans Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Architect / Engineer (A/E) firm. The firm will provide the investigative survey and verification of as-built conditions required to fully develop construction documents for the complete renovation and expansion of the existing public toilets on the 1st floor of Building #1 located outside the Canteen. Due to the high volume use of these restrooms, it is the intent of this project to maximize each of the Men's and Women's toilet rooms. In order to do so additional square footage has been allocated across the main corridor from the Canteen for one of the rest rooms. In addition, the planning and design shall include renovations to the existing Housekeeping Aid Closet and adding a new Family Toilet Room and a new Lactation Room, as well as new updated interior finishes, lighting and nurse call from the public toilet rooms to the Emergency Department. The total space involved is approximately 1,300 square feet. The A /E shall develop phasing plans for the project which will take into consideration being able to utilize one complete toilet room while the other room is being constructed as well as maintaining full access to the main corridor and adjacent areas. The A/E firm will be required to collaborate with the Department of Veterans Affairs Staff to determine structural, architectural, infection control, mechanical, electrical and plumbing design requirements. Construction estimates of contract time and cost will be required at each project submission. The estimated magnitude for construction (no design) is between $250,000 and $500,000. THE NAICS (NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM) CODE IS 541310 Architectural Services. This project is 100% set-aside for SDVOSB. Before a SDVOSB is proposed as a potential contractor, they must be certified by VETbiz (www.vetbiz.gov) and registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM internet site at www.sam.gov Failure of a proposed SDVOSB to be certified by the CVE at the time the SF 330 is submitted will result in elimination from further consideration as proposed awardee.
