This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NAICS 238220. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. (DRAFT) STATEMENT OF WORK Installation of Phenolic Foam Insulation The Government is seeking a contractor who can provide all labor, supervision and all other materials required to deliver the following services: - - to remove existing fiberglass insulation from four (4) secondary chilled water pump supply and return lines (which span from the primary pumps to the tank bypass on the east side of the central plant) and reinsulate with phenolic foam insulation - to remove and reinsulate five (5) primary pumps with split case surrounds which will allow access to the pumps - to install.020 PVC jacketing on secondary lines after phenolic installation insulation must be phenolic foam type insulation. Surrounds will be similar to #7 primary pumps. Install.020 PVC Jacketing on secondary lines after phenolic installation Work shall be performed in accordance with manufactures and current industry standards. a.Furnish material and labor as required to re-insulate chilled water pump supply and return piping with Phenolic type insulation and wrap in PVC.020 PVC jacketing. Primary Pumps Surrounds will be made of Phenolic type insulation and construct with an access to allow technicians to service pumps. Surround shall be similar to surround on # seven (7) primary pump. b.Furnish material and labor as required to re-insulate secondary chilled water pump supply and return piping and install new split case surrounds on 5 primary pumps. c.All insulation will be striped, the pipe will be cleaned and new phenolic foam type insulation shall be installed d.020 PVC jacketing shall be installed on all new insulation. Chilled Water Supply shall have Dark Blue PVC and Chilled Water Return shall have Light Blue. e.In addition the vendor shall provide an on sight visit to verify accessibility, pipe size. and system integrity. f.Provide One (1) year warranty on material and labor furnished under this proposal Period of Performance: a.One-time service - Due upon contract award b.Place of Performance: Michael E. The subject line shall read: Response to RFI VA256-16-N-0705. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. Please provide the information you deem relevant in order to respond to the specific inquiries of the RFI. Information provided will be used solely by MEDVAMC as "market research" and will not be released outside of the MEDVAMC Purchasing and Contract Team. All information contained in this RFI is preliminary as well as subject to modification and is in no way binding on the Government. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract.
