Description

The Cincinnati Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate sole source procurement with Medivator, Inc. This proposed contract action is for annual preventative maintenance of the Advantage Plus Reprocessing System which utilizes proprietary parts from Medivator Inc, for which the Government intends to accomplish using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, of other than full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. The VA believes that Medivator is the only company that can provide this equipment. The VA believes the unique characteristics of this equipment, Medivator is the only U.S. distributor for the Advantage Plus Reprocessing System. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by May 25, 2016 from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information may be sent to the Contract Specialist by emailing katie.paben@va.gov on or before the date indicated herein. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medivator for said equipment. All responses must be received with this solicitation number in the subject line.
