- Description
- Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, disposal, supervision, and incidental related work necessary to remove the failed epoxy coating on the exterior concrete terrace of Yeaton Hall at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT and to restore the existing concrete terrace slab and stairs with a cement-based resurfacing mortar. Work will include the removal of the existing epoxy coating, the patching and repairing of all concrete slab and stair surfaces and the removal and replacement of all joint sealants. Additional work includes the removal and replacement of the aluminum stair treads, tuck-pointing mortar joints and the replacement of damaged bricks at the stair and terrace walls. The anticipated construction period for onsite performance is eight (8) weeks with five (5) weeks onsite. The estimated cost range of this project is between $100,000 and $200,000. A Payment bond will be required if the contract price exceeds $35,000.00. Payment and Performance bonds will be required if the contract price exceeds $150,000.00. The applicable NAICS code is 238190, "Other Foundation, Structure, and Building Exterior Contractors", with a small business size standard $15.0 million. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 02 June 2016. The tentative date set for submitting sealed bids is 05 July 2016 at 2:00 PM EST. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14, and in accordance with FAR Part 19.5 is 100% set-aside for Small Business (SB) concerns.
