Description
The COBRA/Omnibus 4 Industry Day will be held on 20 July 2016 at the Hilton Springfield, 6550 Loisdale Rd, Springfield, VA 22150. Information such as agenda, registration, booth, sponsorship, etc. will be available at www.ee-volve.com after 1 June 2016. (This does not take the place of the "Interested Vendors List" tab on the www.fbo.gov website.) There will also be registration available on the morning of the Industry Day. However, the number of tickets for the Main Hall is limited so tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, therefore pre-registration is recommended. A block of tickets will be pre-reserved for Federal employees and military. There is no limitation on tickets per company but personnel names must be provided at time of registration. Also, the host organizer does reserve the right to limit the number of tickets provided to one company. There is no fee for Main Hall tickets so advanced registration is recommended. Tickets will be available for pickup during Industry Day registration. Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. When reserving a hotel room at the Hilton Springfield, mention COBRA. In the morning, the current plan of events is for the Industry Day to feature presentations by the DHA Program Management Office (PMO) Director from Falls Church, VA, including the umbrella major acquisition strategy COBRA; the Procurement Contracting Office (PCO) Division Chief of ACC-APG, Natick Contracting Division (NCD), MA; the Omnibus 4 Contracting Officer from ACC-APG, NCD; and a Q&A Open Forum, structured around various topics (both Omnibus and non-Omnibus related topics). The Omnibus 4 acquisition is one of many acquisition vehicles and the flagship acquisition under COBRA. In the afternoon, the Industry Day will feature a continuation of the Q&A Open Forum agenda but featuring different topics. The expectation is that Army, Navy, and Air Force presentations on military medical research (presenters to be confirmed). Closing comments will be provided by the PCO Division Chief. The Q&A Open Forum sessions are an opportunity for attendees from Industry, academia, nonprofits, and USG personnel, including personnel from management, business development, contracting, and accounting, to learn information from Omnibus 1, 2, and 3, as well as other non-Omnibus actions such as Broad Agency Announcements (grants, coops, contracts) under the umbrella program COBRA. More information on the Q&A Open Forum sessions can be found at www.ee-volve.com after 1 June 2016. (Any information posted at www.ee-volve.com does not represent inherently government functions or actions of the USG.) THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) OR OBLIGATION TO ISSUE A FUTURE RFP. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS, AND THIS ANNOUNCEMENT DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTRACT FOR ANY SUPPLIES OR SERVICES. Future RFPs, if released, will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website www.fbo.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring these sites for additional information pertaining to this announcement.
