- Description
- KSC Specification RFI and Attachment The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) for market research of industry capabilities and approaches for providing Kennedy Space Center (KSC) support services including maintenance for laboratories, shops and test facilities; operational support services; engineering support; and research and technology scientific support. The Government is looking for flexible approaches to provide support services including onsite or offsite capabilities. The RFI is organized into four sections: 1. lab maintenance 2. operational support services 3. engineering support 4. research and technology scientific support The RFI provides insight on anticipated customer work volume, response times and requirements fluctuations. The RFI requests industry to provide approaches and methods that are cost-effective, innovative, flexible, responsive and efficient in order to perform any or all of the activities detailed in Sections 1 through 4. With respect to approaches, the Government is requesting industry to address: •Methods and ability to maintain and/or support a minimum capacity of critical skills •Methods and ability to surge for planned and unplanned fluctuating requirements •Strategies for pricing structure to accommodate varying timeliness and volume requirements as well as programmatic and commercial customers •Methods to accommodate KSC's spaceport customer needs, including tenants and other commercial entities •Strategies to bring additional work volume to support a minimum capacity There is an Attachment A referenced in the document that describes the existing labs and equipment.
