- Indefinite Quantity Contract for A-E Design Services at Various Activities under the Cognizance of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest Area of Responsibility DESCRIPTION: Architect/Engineer (A/E) services are required for a regional firm fixed-price Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract primarily to support facilities planning and industrial engineering services and studies for various locations under the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW) area of responsibility (AOR), but primarily in Washington State. The NAVFAC AOR includes the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Alaska. However, on occasion, work may also be required in other areas of the United States. Services shall be accomplished in the contractor's office with the exception of such field investigations and field surveys as are required at the project sites. The Government will not provide any direct supervision of the Architect/Engineer (A/E) employees. The purpose of this contract is to obtain the services of an interdisciplinary team required to support facilities planning and industrial engineering services and studies at various locations predominantly serviced by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW) Office. Areas of functional knowledge and experience desired include airfield, industrial, and waterfront operational facilities; aircraft, ship, and weapons maintenance facilities; ordnance storage facilities; Research, Development, Test, Acquisition, & Evaluation (RDTA&E) facilities; medical, supply, and administrative facilities; Quality of Life (QOL) facilities (including bachelor housing, community support and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) facilities; utilities, and other infrastructure.
