- Sources Sought Company Capability THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This sources sought is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The Government is seeking to identify qualified business sources under 2016 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 237990 for Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction (Size Standard - $36.5 Million). Synopsis: a. This Source Sought notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of capability and availability of potential contractors. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. b. Description of Work: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing the Upper Yazoo Projects, Item 7C, and Channel Improvement, in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. The principal features of work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing for channel excavation, channel excavation, channel dredging, disposal areas, disposal of excavated materials, clearing and grubbing, stone ditch outlet protection, erosion control and willow planting, storm water pollution prevention, and environmental protection c. The Government anticipates awarding on Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Task Order Contract for the entire reach of the project. d. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 e. The Government is considering the use of full and open competition procedures for this project. The Invitation for Bid solicitation processcess will be used. This acquisition will result in a single Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Task Order Contract. f. Additional Information: This announcement does not restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. A contractor will neither be pre-qualified nor excluded from the competition based upon any information provided in reply to this announcement. g. A bidders list will not be generated from replies to this announcement. Contractors will not automatically receive the IFB package as a result of replying to this announcement. h. A pre-solicitation announcement will be publicized at the Federal Business Opportunities website at a date yet to be determined. Contractors are responsible for monitoring the website for the pre-solicitation announcement, Solicitation, and any posted changes or amendments. i. Response shall be submitted using the following Process: Complete the Capabilities Statement and the Project Experience Sheet(s) included with this announcement. Page Limitations: not to exceed 5 total single-spaced pages using a 12-point font size at a minimum, that clearly details the ability to perform and that addresses the specific requirements.
