Project Location: RICHMOND NATIONAL CEMETERY (874) Project Title: Replace Asphalt and Concrete Slab Project Control #: 874-NRM16-16 RE: VA786-16-R-0173, AMENDMENT FOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. The Solicitation indicates this is a design-build project, the statement of work summary paragraph identifies detail 4 on reference drawing 874-NRM-16-001 to be design-build, is this the only detail requiring any design? A1. Correct that this questioned item requires design and other details do not require design. Understand that there are other designer requirements such as signing/sealing all submittals. So for an example, the asphalt paving does not require a designed detail but the submittal thereof does require a signed/sealed stamp by a professional engineer as required in the specifications and work scope. 2. Paragraph 4 in the statement of work summary indicates the contractor to provide an all-terrain, covered canopy, golf cart capable of carrying a minimum of 6 persons. Is it the responsibility of cemetery personal to operate the vehicle and schedule with the visitors? A2. Yes, contractor shall provide vehicle for the sole use by the cemetery.
