- Description
- This modification/amendment to the titled presolicitation changes the title from 'Tie Down Chain Assembly, Heavy Duty and Tensioner, 25K Load Capacity' to 'Tie Down Chain Assembly, Heavy Duty'. The description and response date has also been updated due to this correction. See below. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis four-hundred sixteen (416) Tie Down Chain Assembly, Heavy Duty P/N ASC53-1. The required O-level parameters for the Tie Down Chain Assembly, Heavy Duty are: 22,300lbs Minimum Break Strength (MBS); 18,000lbs Proof Load; and 11,153lbs Working Load Limit. These parameters are necessary in order to safely secure the P-8A aircraft. This item is required to support initial outfitting for the P-8A aircraft Product Support for the United States Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Peck & Hale, 180 Division Ave, West Sayville, NY 11796-1303. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only responsible source to perform this effort. Peck & Hale have proprietary rights to the technical data and drawings and is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of this item. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
