Description of Services The purpose of this notice is to identify capable sources for a five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for locum tenens services. Physicians would be required to be board-certified or board-eligible in their respective modalities, and would be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) and in some cases, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Place of Performance The VA contemplates Locum tenens physician services at the following VA Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS) locations: Danville VA Medical CenterDecatur CBOC 1900 East Main Street3035 East Mound Road Danville, IL 61832Decatur, IL 62526 Mattoon CBOCPeoria CBOC 501 Lakeland Blvd7717 N. Orange Prairie Rd. Mattoon, IL 61938Peoria, IL Springfield CBOCWest Lafayette CBOC 5850 South 6th Street, Suite A3851 N. River Road Springfield, IL 62703West Lafayette, IN 47906 Level of Effort The VA contemplates the following annual level of effort: Primary Care (General and Family Physician): 16,640 hours Urgent Care Physician: 8,320 hours Hospitalist Physician: 8,320 hours Gastroenterology Physician: 2,080 hours Neurology Physician: 2,080 hours Psychiatrist Physician: 8,320 hours Note to Respondents: VAIHCS locations have historically been difficult to staff with physicians. This has been true for both government hiring efforts and contractor staffing efforts. Respondents are encouraged to ensure they're fully aware of the staffing environment in the Danville region before affirmatively stating that they can meet the VA's requirement.
