- Transportation Data Packaging Statement of Work Packaging Requirements Item Description CDRL Package Telemetry Battery Statement of Work The Air Force plans to procure 26 Telemetry Silver Zinc Batteries to directly support the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Weapon System from Eagle Picher Technologies, Cage Code 81855. Noun: Telemetry Silver Zinc Battery NSN: 6135-015-32-7655AH Eagle Picher Technologies is the only approved source qualified to produce the batteries. The approved source retains data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), justification: supplies required are from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to the closing date on the solicitation will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawing relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the government. The government does not own the data or rights to the data needed to purchase this item from additional sources. A respondent to this synopsis should specify whether it is a large business, small business, s m all disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, HUBZone small business, veteran-owned small business or service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Also specify whether you are a U.S. or foreign-owned firm. A foreign contractor cannot perform at the prime contractor level. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation and the entire solicitation will be made available approximately 15 days after the posting of this notice only on FedBizOpps (FBO) website at: http://www.fbo.gov. All current and/or future information about this acquisition, i.e. solicitation, amendments, attachments, and Q&A's will be distributed through FBO. Therefore, interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation.
