THIS IS A PRESOLICITATAION ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY No Solicitation is currently available. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with FAR 14, Sealed Bidding, for Project Number 612A4-14-014 - Site Prep for New MRI. Pursuant to FAR 19.203(d), and VAAR819.7004, Contracting Officer Order of Priority, this acquisition shall be a Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Bids shall only be accepted from qualified SDVOSB concerns. Project Magnitude: Between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 NAICS Code: 236220, Small Business Size Standard: $36.5M Description of Requirement This project involves the construction of approximately 990 sf addition to Building 700 at the VA Medical Center in Mather, CA 95655, to receive new Ingenia 1.5T Omega HP MRI and system equipment provided by the VA. Work shall be accomplished in 3 phases as follows: Phase I - Ground and site preparation for construction of additional space to receive the new MRI equipment. This includes new and upgrades to the architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC systems and all utilities connections. Phase II - Vacation of interior area adjacent to new Phase I addition, partial demolition to connect existing space with new building addition and complete renovation of approximately 468 sf of interior space. Other activities include site preparation in the existing space, and new addition to receive the new MRI equipment including all utilities and support equipment required for the operation of the MRI equipment. Phase III - Installation of new MRI equipment by Phillips Company (MRI Manufacturer). This includes coordination and collaboration in the installation of the new equipment with Phillips, and performing all mechanical equipment tests and balance. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. The Solicitation documents will be available on or about May 24, 2016. When issued, the solicitation will contain instructions for submission of bids. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit will be held at the VAMC Mather, CA facility. Exact location, date, and time will be noted in the solicitation. Attendance to this conference is highly recommended.
