Description

Project Number 636-14-113, Correct Domestic Water Deficiencies. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation and testing necessary to correct domestic water deficiencies at the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System - Grand Island VA Medical Center located at 2201 North Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary to: (1) Install hot water temperature and other water chemistry monitoring devices which report back to the Energy Management Control System (EMCS); (2) Balance hot water recirculating system, ensuring proper pump and pipe sizes; and (3) Installation of mixing valves/faucets/scald proof devices on all hot water discharge locations throughout buildings 1, 3 and 5. All work shall be performed in accordance with the contract terms and conditions, specifications and drawings, and all applicable VA and local codes. Solicitation Number VA263-16-R-0330 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about May 23, 2016. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held sometime during the week of May 31 through June 3, 2016 (See solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Proposal Due Date is tentatively scheduled to be on or about, June 29, 2016 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 540 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.
