Description
DLA-APG-C4ISR intends to acquire individual spare parts for the LRAS3 which is a long range tactical reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeting device utilizing a 2nd Generation FLIR sensor, laser rangefinder, day video camera, global positioning device, and long-range optics that provide the Warfighter with real-time imagery to detect, recognize, locate and report targets and their coordinates 24 hours a day in all weather conditions while remaining outside the threat detection range. The LRAS3 can be operated as part of the Fire Support Sensor System (FS3), providing laser designation capability when integrated with the Laser Designator Module (LDM) from the Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder (LLDR) and the Mission Equipment Package (MEP) from a fire support vehicle. The LRAS3 can be operated on a vehicle or a portable tripod. The LRAS3 is deployed to Force Package One (Active Army) and Force Package Two (National Guard) units, and its host vehicles include the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), Stryker Reconnaissance Vehicle, Stryker Fire Support Vehicle, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicle, Knight Armored Vehicle, and Bradley Fire Support Team (BFIST) Vehicle. The purpose of this survey is to locate sources that have the capability of manufacturing and/or supplying LRAS3 components. This survey is published in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, (Market Research). Past history for this product indicates the only known source with the capability to manufacture the spare parts of the LRAS3 components is Raytheon Network Centric Systems (McKinney, Texas). This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market is purely voluntary. The US Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in responding or in any subsequent exchange of information.
