- Statement of Work (SOW) Market Research Questionnaire THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This announcement does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and at no cost to the Government. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic category of potential sources for the requirement. The 30 th Contracting Squadron is seeking commercial sources with the technical expertise necessary to provide and install a replacement Cummins diesel engine for a 2007 Ford F750 Crane for the 30 th Civil Engineer Squadron on Vandenberg Air Force base (VAFB), California. The requirement is for an engine that is a model year 2010 or newer inclusive of ancillary equipment in order to achieve compliance with the California Air Resources Board/Federal Environmental Protection Agency standards for model year 2010 or newer diesel engines. Refer to the associated Statement of Work (SOW) attached. Item Description: CLIN 001: Cummins (NSN DR6973RX) ISB 6.7 Liter, 2800 HP, Diesel Engine for Ford F750 Crane. Model year 2010 or newer. Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 002: Flywheel/Housing/Coupling/Adaptation/Clutch. Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 003: Electronic Controls/Engine Wiring Harness. Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 004: Radiator/CAC/Cooling System Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 005: Intake/Exhaust Piping & Components Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 006: Fluids and Filters Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 007: Custom Fabrication Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 008: Removal of existing engine and installation of new engine IAW the SOW. Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 009: On-Site Operation & Maintenance Training, 2-hour session Quantity: 1 EA CLIN 0010: ISB Extended Coverage, 4 Years/200K Miles. Quantity: 1 EA The associated North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 333618, "Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing", and the applicable Small Business size standard is 1,500 employees. Interested parties are requested to address the questions in the Market Research Questionnaire. The draft Statement of Work (SOW) is posted with this notice and interested parties are encouraged to submit industry comments and/or suggested changes to the SOW. Respondents are also encouraged to submit information regarding commercial practices that the Government should consider implementing for this acquisition. As noted in the Market Research Questionnaire, the government requests interested parties submit a brief description of capabilities. All information received in response to this announcement that is marketed "Proprietary" will be handled accordingly. Responses will not be returned. Please limit your response to no more than five (5) pages inclusive of the Market Research Questionnaire.
