Description

This is a PRESOLICITATION notice to inform contractors that the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond, VA has a need for cryosurgical equipment required to perform cryosurgical procedures, ultrasound equipment, and a technician as required to perform cryosurgical procedures. The Contractor will only provide the technical component of the procedures, as the professional components of procedures will be performed by VA staff. A Firm Fixed Price type contract with one (1) year base period of performance, with the possibility of four (4) one year option periods, which will be exercised at the Government's discretion are anticipated under this solicitation. A formal Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) on or about 5 May 2016 via FEDBIZOPPS at www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the website for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. The expected performance period will be 1 June 2016 through 30 Sep 2016, with four option years (if exercised). Email, facsimile, and telephonic requests will not be accepted.
