Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 "Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items," as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. Submit offers on RFQ-RML-D-1791162. This solicitation is a request for quotes (RFQ).The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-87 April 6th,2016. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 500. This is not a total small business set aside. The National Institute of Allergy and infectious Diseases (NIAID) is looking to optimize our tissue dissociating process. We are pursuing a gentleMACS TM Octo Dissociator with an electable Heater. This is a benchtop instrument with a fully automated and standardized tissue dissociation and/or homogenization. In addition the instrument allows the user to create user-defined programs for almost any biological material. We require the ability to process 8 individual tissue samples simultaneously each with different semi-automated enzymatic processing programs. We also require that the unit be heated and able to maintain 37 degrees during tissue dissociation. We require that the unit provide us with high viability yield of lymphocytes after processing. We also require that the tubes utilized by the processing machine be enclosed for safety reasons. This is an open-market combined synopsis/solicitation for a gentleMACS octo dissoociator with heaters as defined herein. The government intends to award a purchase order as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. To facilitate the award process all quotes should include a statement regarding the terms and conditions herein as follows: "The Terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document without modification, deletion or addition." OR "The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document with the exception, deletion, or addition of the following:" (Quoter shall list exception(s) and rationale for the exception(s).)
