- Description
- Full Announcement 4 May 2016 BACKGROUND: The Office of Naval Research (ONR) Code 32 requests development of "excursion" models to test, evaluate and develop high level Concepts of Employment (COE) and technical performance required for effective employment of ASW technologies being developed by ONR Code 32 for the U.S. Navy. COE and performance requirements will be determined by using the models to run excursions on OPNAV N81 campaign analysis performed using the General Campaign Analysis Model (GCAM). Thus, the models must interface with GCAM and the successful proposer must have the capability to run these excursions. In addition to identifying gaps in existing code 32 ASW technologies, these studies may identify gaps and requirements for future code 32 ASW programs. SPECIFIC INFORMATION OF INTEREST: Specific areas of research include: Develop parametric models (the excursion models) of ONR Code 32 ASW technology to insert into GCAM and run tradeoffs of various technology attributes, requirements (e.g. size, endurance, speed, etc.), and cost to determine the best combination to deliver needed capabilities in the context of excursions from OPNAV N81campaign analysis done using GCAM. Use the parametric models inserted into GCAM to run war fighting excursions of OPNAV N81 approved campaign scenarios to develop COE of ONR code 32 ASW technologies. Use the parametric models to determine operational impact of ONR Code 32 ASW technologies on campaign results.
