Description
The United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) has a requirement to adopt a Wireless and Hands Free Internal Communication System (WHICS) that will ease the difficulties and inefficiency of the current communication system. MEDCOM requires a voice communication capability that enhances the delivery of healthcare that will increase efficiency in workflow; improve patient safety and integrate with other hospital communication systems such as nurse call and telephony. QUESTION AND ANSWERS: 1. Do you know the intended award date? Government Answer: The anticipated award date is on or before 1 July 2016. 2. Will all 29 hospitals in Attachment A be awarding at that time? Government Answer: The number of facilities awarded is Subject to the Availability of Fiscal Year 2016 funds. 3. The attached/above referenced Solicitation Number W912DY-16-R-0000 list the specific name brand of Connexall on Page 7 Section 9 Sub bulllet point 1. The section read "install and configure the Connexall alarm management middleware solution to integrate with the nurse call system, existing telephony, Q-Flow System for up to ten (10) notification per room (where called out in the Bill of Materials). Government Answer: Contractors may offer an alternate solution to the Connexall brand middleware. But the functionality with integrating with the nurse call system, existing telephony, Q-flow system, and up to the notification numbers per room must be met. ////////////////////////////////////END OF QUESTIONS//////////////////////////////////////
