- Description
- This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) notice for planning purposes only. This RFI is issued for determining potential technologies and capabilities to consider for the future of Naval Stations operations and maintenance from industry and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services identified in response to this notice. No solicitation documents exist at this time. Participation in this RFI is neither mandatory nor is it requisite to future participation by a contractor in any future contract RFP. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest, Naval Station (NS) Everett Public Works Department (PWD) has a desire to learn more about the latest sustainable solutions in products, approaches and processes to address updating, repairing and/or replacing aging facilities, base infrastructure and systems, piers and communications systems used at installations in the north Puget Sound area. We have several projects coming up in the near future, and would like industry input on the latest products and services, particularly those that would represent process efficiencies, cost effective planning and maintenance; and environmentally sustainable solutions for upcoming project development and budget planning. This opportunity is primarily to gain exposure to Small Businesses, but is open to all companies that want to make us aware of new and innovative ideas to support base and facility infrastructure sustainment and maintenance. Written RFI Responses are requested no later than 23 May 2016. Solutions should also be organic (to the U.S.), sustainable, environmentally acceptable, and inclusive to (U.S.) Small Business participation to the widest extent practicable. You may provide information about your product and your company to us via email, mail or in person with a display at the NS Everett PWD Industry Day. All written RFI Responses submitted must specify the following information on the cover page: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone Number, Email Address, DUNS Number, Cage Code, Business Size/Status (i.e. large business, small business, certified 8(a), veteran-owned, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.) and your companys relevant North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. Information should be submitted in Microsoft Office 2010 compatible electronic format. Please mark any proprietary information so that NAVFAC NW can control it as such. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. The Government is only seeking possible sources and potential capabilities for informational and planning purposes. INFRASTRUCTURE, DESIGN and SYSTEMS INDUSTRY DAY The NS Everett PWD will host an Infrastructure, Design and Systems Industry Day to provide opportunities for the Public Works Department work elements and organizations, to learn more about the latest innovation and technologically advanced products, processes, systems and approaches that industry can offer; which would increase efficiencies, costs and environmental soundness of base operations, facility maintenance, infrastructure sustainment and system improvements. Industry Day will be an opportunity for companies that perform work, manufacture and/or distribute products and provide services that could be utilized, procured or contracted by any of the Public Works Department organizations. This is an opportunity to introduce your company and your product to Government end-users directly. Infrastructure, Design, Maintenance and Repair Industry Day will be held on 25 May 2016 at the Grand Vista Ballroom in Building 1950 The Commons, 2000 W. Marine View Drive, Naval Station Everett, WA 98207. In order to participate in Industry Day, please register to attend via email to Christy.tala@navy.mil no later than 18 May 2016.
