- Environmental Remediation and Decommissioning Services full detail. The U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT), Office of the Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Research and Technology (OST-R), John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), Cambridge, MA, issues this Sources Sought to assist the Government in its acquisition strategy. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Proposal. The Volpe Center is seeking potential offerors that: • Classify small business under NAICS 562910 - Environmental Remediation Services • Can meet the guidelines set forth in endnote 14 of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Table of Small Business Size Standards Matched to North American Industry Classification System Codes, updated February 26, 2016. • Possess the technical capability and experience cleanup and closure of contaminated sites, the dismantling, demolition of obsolete and abandoned infrastructure, and re-construction of infrastructure. • Have the fiscal and staffing capacity for working on multiple complex projects simultaneously across large geographic areas.
