- Sole Source Justification Sole Source Letter EOD 9A Bomb Suit Package w/Accessories. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The solicitation number is F2M3CC606084AW03 The NAICS Code is 339113. The size standard is 750. The proposed source is Med Eng, LLC. The EOD 9A helmet features interchangeable visors and is designed to integrate with the EOD 9 Bomb suit for complete blast protection. The EOD 9 ensemble provides the next generation of modular protection and operational flexibility for EOD missions. The EOD 9 Bomb Suit includes a Jacket, Integrated Groin Protector, Trouser and Boot covers for integrated blast protection against IEDs and bombs. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide the EOD 9A Bomb Suit Package w/Accessories as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to this synopsis to lauren.macias.1@us.af.mil, (210) 671-6415 no later than May 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM Central. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
