Description

This notice is for the purpose of seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and Small Business contractors to provide Wheelchair Van and Stretcher Transport Services. The Department of Veterans Affairs VHA Upstate Healthcare System has a requirement for wheelchair van transport services. The services to be provided are for transporting Veteran beneficiaries between VA Medical Center facilities and to scheduled appointments. The Veteran beneficiaries are located at the Syracuse VAMC, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. The performance period shall be for a base period plus four (4) option periods. Services are needed to commence October 1, 2016, and the procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12 Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures. The NAICS code is 485991, and the size standard is $15 million. The solicitation package can be viewed or downloaded, at no charge, from the link http://www.FBO.gov when published. This solicitation package shall be available on or about July 1, 2016. Response to this announcement shall determine if sufficient competition exists to set aside the procurement for Service Disabled Veteran Operated Small Business, Small Veteran Owned Business, or Small Business.
