Description
Sources Sought The Contractor shall be able to provide the Army Research Lab (ARL) with one (1) Scanning Thermal Microscopy (SThM) module to the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC) that meets the following minimum requirements: - Includes a power source capable of delivering 0-10 volts of direct current (VDC), controller, and tunable resistance bridge circuit, software for operating the module and interfacing with the existing Bruker/Veeco Dimension NANOMAN-VS atomic force microscopy (AFM) system, and ten (10) SThM probes. - The Controller of the SThM module must meet the following specifications: o Measurement Mode consisting of Temperature and Thermal Conductivity Contrast o Temperature Resolution less than 0.1 degree Celcius (°C) o Output Probe between 0-10 Volts (V) o Minimum Amplication Options of 10x, 100x, 1,000x, and 10,000x o Able to connect to a Computer through Universal Serial Bus (USB) o Probe Input Power over standard Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connection - The Probes of the SThM module must meet the following specifications: o Must be of the Scanning thermal microscopy resistive heating tips type o Maximum Temperature greater than 150°C o Spring Constant greater than 0.2 Newtons/meter (N/m) o Tip Radius less than 100 nanometers (nm)
