Description
CJ&A 20,948 The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for the planning, integration, and execution of Lead Maintenance Activity (LMA) responsibilities during the shakedown period as well as the planning and execution of GERALD R. FORD's (CVN 78) Post Shakedown Availability / Selected Restricted Availability (PSA/SRA). PSA/SRA efforts include all manpower, support services, design integration, engineering and management support, technical data, material procurement and planning documentation required to prepare for and accomplish these availabilities. The work to be accomplished will include correction of Government responsible deficiencies, installation of approved engineering changes not incorporated during the construction period, testing and post PSA/SRA sea trials, and other emergent work. Efforts will also include scope to allow for ship integration, preliminary and detail component design, analyses of technical drawings, ship construction, ship testing, life cycle support and the development and implementation of an Integrated Master Schedule for all work through the completion of PSA/SRA. The requirement will be procured, without full and open competition, from the only qualified source capable of performing the PSA/SRA work for GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78) nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Huntington Ingalls Incorporated - Newport News Shipbuilding directly. This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https: www.fbo.gov. FBO is the single point of entry for the posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet. Please feel free to use the FBO site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command.
