- Description
- Pricing Schedule to Complete Solicitation Section 708 of the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act (FDASIA) grants FDA the authority to use an administrative procedure to destroy imported drugs valued under $2,500.00 that were refused admission into the United States. The majority of refused imported drug products subject to FDA's new destruction authority come into the United States via international mail. Parcels that come into the United States via an International Mail Facilities (IMF) are routed by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to Customs and Border Protection (CBP). CBP interdicts certain drug shipments and turns them over to FDA for examination and a determination of admission under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic (FD&C) Act.
