Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, to Laconia Harley Davidson (LHD) for an outreach and advertisement event during the 2016 Bike week for the New England Healthcare System, VISN 1. This contract will commence on May 2, 2016 through May 1, 2017. Contract will include FAR 52.217-9 Option to extend the term of the contract for up to four additional option years at the discretion of the VA. LHD is a small Business and is the only known small business that is able to provide the required marketing program and equipment that meets VA style guide standards. In addition LHD is the only company that has enough advertising space that is located in a central geographic location approximate to the bike week events. A firm fixed price contract with the potential of four option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal. If other small business companies in New England can provide an equal service for the New England Healthcare System, vendors must submit their technical capabilities, to include, technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time. This information will be reviewed by the Government's technical representatives for consideration for future requirements. Email statements are preferred. Statements are due no later than May 2, 2016. Phone inquiries will not be accepted. This is not a solicitation; it is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source requirement.
