Description
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has a requirement for an interactive financial information system for the SEC Headquarters and regional offices that delivers current and historical U.S. and international data continuously, both real-time and delayed. The service shall provide the information electronically via the internet and leased ten Meg Circuits with CFN's to 85 terminals. Terminals will be required in DC, Salt Lake, Philadelphia, New York, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, Denver, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Boston, and Atlanta. Bloomberg provides a unique information service that aggregates a wide variety of financial data and news from multiple sources (including their own copyrighted news) and makes them available in a timely manner on a platform that includes analytical tools. The depth and breadth of the news archive offered through this service is available only from Bloomberg. Bloomberg provides the required information service that meets the Commission's needs. The period of performance is intended to run from June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017 with two (2) one-year option periods and an extension of performance that shall not exceed 6 months. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. SEC intends to issue a sole-source contract for this service from Bloomberg Finance L.P. Due to exclusive licensing agreements the Government intends to solicit only one source using Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items in accordance with FAR 13.5. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for the provision of this requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. No solicitation or additional information will be made available with regard to this sole source notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
