- The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specification or drawings available with this announcement. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you chose to submit a package, clearly identify the NPS PMIS No. NCRO 201541, confirm your socioeconomic status: (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). Your capability information should be 10 pages or less (including the bonding letter) and be SPECIFIC to the scope provided. Provide customer point of contact information including email and telephone (for example, contracting officers, project managers ) provide description of past projects (preferably same or similar past projects), contract numbers, dollar amounts, time frame, duration, location and any other pertinent information. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your bonding levels per contract, total, and remaining capacity. Your response is due no later than COB Eastern Time May 4, 2016. All firms must be certified in SAM. Please refer to the SBA rules regarding HUBZone firms effective October 1, 2011. Please note there is no additional information to be provided at this time. Analysis of the quantity and quality of responses to this sources sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement. Hains Point, National Capital Region Campus, Washington, D.C. Mitigate Flooding Risk at Hains Point Facilities NPS PMIS No. NCRO 201541 Estimated Dollar Magnitude: $7,500,000 - $10,500,000 NAICS - 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Estimated Period of Performance: 15 to 18 months; September 2016 - February 2018 Project Description: The work consists of the construction of a new law enforcement facility, which will be one story and approximately 13,000 gross square feet (80 feet by 160 feet). The new facility will be sited where existing temporary administration buildings are located and which will be demolished and removed as part of the project. The new facility will include prisoner processing and holding, administrative offices, roll call, a kitchen, a gymnasium, locker rooms and restrooms. The site development includes the addition of a police entry off the I-395 ramp, 80 police parking spaces, 6 visitor parking spaces, 2,448 sq. ft. covered motorcycle parking, sidewalks, landscaping walls, landscaped areas, and a security perimeter fence. Underground utility connections for water, sewer, electrical, and gas will also be required. Specialized construction requirements include ballistic/blast protection and extensive electronic security systems (control, circuit, detection and protection). Interested contractors must address the following technical skills and experience in their responses to this sources sought notice: Seeking a construction contractor that has constructed law enforcement facilities: 1. Demonstrated experience constructing law enforcement type facilities, especially on Federal property; 2. Demonstrated experience constructing new facilities and site work of similar size and scope; 3. Experience in permitting with local municipalities and state governments on behalf of Federal organizations.
