Description

Combined Synopsis/Solicitation-Comcast Cable and Internet Service ID40160051-Redacted Comcast Cable and Internet Service J&A ID40160051-Comcast Cable and Internet Service BOM This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) under GSA requirement number ID40160051. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used for this acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 13. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-87 effective April 06, 2016. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for this requirement to Comcast Business Communications, LLC, One Comcast Center, 1701 JFK Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19103-0000 using procedures outlined in FAR subpart 13.5 in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose of this contract action is for the renewal of current cable internet service which shall be provisioned utilizing fiber optic cable, associated with electronics and other equipment (“Network”), which transports and distributes digital signals in a standards based Internet Protocol (IP) format for standards based IP applications to Customer’s buildings.
