- Description
- Exception to Fair Opportunity signed 03232016 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NCIRD/OD, 1600 Clifton Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA, 30333, hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source modification to contract 200-2015-F-61347 in accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C) to General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), Inc., 3211 Jermantown Road, Fairfax, VA 22030-2844, to enhance existing customer support services via the addition of Level 2 Triage Support Services to the existing Customer Support Services. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C), "The order must be issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency because it is a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract." CDC's existing Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS) Customer Support contract was initially awarded via the USA Contact Center Contract adminsitered by the General Services Adminsitration. Following the award of this contract, it has been determined that an expansion of services is necessary to enhance existing customer support requirements through the acquistion of Level2 Triage Support services. GDIT already is engaged in routine standing calls with the CDC team on open, active tickets; therefore, the process of transitioning the Level2 triage support services to GDIT is greatly anticipated to be low-risk and smooth. Transitioning these services to GDIT will also allow the government to recognize cost savings due to the grouped services and reduce transactional costs associated with the management of multiple contracts for the same or similar services. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contract Specialist within 10 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Please forward the capability statement and/or pricing information to David Dombeck, Contracting Specialist, Centers for Disease Control, Office of Acquisition Services, ATTN: David Dombeck, MS: K-14, 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341, or via email at vwj8@cdc.gov. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to an award of a federal contract. The website is: www.sam.gov. The Government will review any/all capabilities statements and pricing information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response to this announcement will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days, negotiations will be conducted with the GDIT, Inc., as the only source and a contract will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
