Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR) 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.. The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground - Installation Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen, Maryland, 21005 intends to award a sole source contract to procure the following: On-Site Product Support Plan 3, Response Time Option B for QTY: 1, 3Flex 3500 instrument. Period of Performance: One Year from Date of Award plus two, 1 year Options. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Micromeritics Instrument Corporation, 4356 Communications Dr, Norcross, GA, 30093-2901, a large business. Micromeritics is the OEM and only source of supply and authorized service provider for their proprietary hardware and software. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard is $20.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
