- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This is an RFI released pursuant to FAR 15.201(e). This RFI is solely for information, planning purposes, and market research only; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will not pay for any cost associated with responding to this RFI. All costs will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP. If a solicitation is released, it will be posted in the Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are advised to monitor this website for any information that may pertain to this RFI. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. All submissions become the property of the Federal Government, and will not be returned. Purpose: This RFI seeks to obtain information and/or recommendations for two camera systems: a Body Worn Camera (BWC) system that can be worn by a CBP agent or officer and a Vehicle Mounted Camera (VMC) system that has multi-camera capability and the ability to capture and record audio and video. Companies may submit questions regarding this RFI to the Government within five (5) business days after release of this RFI. Response submissions and/or questions to this RFI should be submitted by e-mail to: BWCRFI@cbp.dhs.gov. All questions and responses will be published via https://www.fbo.gov. Submissions will be due ten (10) business days after the government posts answers to industry questions. The Government will review all RFI submissions upon receipt and will seek further clarification from respondents if necessary. See Attachment 1:BWCVMC_RFI
