Description
Sources Sought Transportation (Disposal) Assets 21 days. BACKGROUND: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), National Veterinary Stockpile (NVS) is requesting information regarding the availability of transportation assets to meet our disposal needs, hauling potentially of hazardous material from numerous locations to and from origin within the Continental United States to disposal sites, as necessary. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: The primary objective of issuing the RFI is to seek information from vendors with the capability of providing transportation assets and to determine the most prevalent equipment available to haul potentially hazardous material. The equipment of interest may include but not be limited to the following; • Rendering trucks with sealable gate - tractor-trailer that is used to haul carcasses • Tractor-trailer trucks (semi-truck) with an attached box trailer • Open top trailers • Roll-off trucks (a tractor-trailer truck with detachable open-top box container). Describe your company's transportation assets that may be used to haul potentially hazardous material, specifically diseased animal carcasses. A. Provide the number of transportation assets meeting the description; B. Provide available sizes C. Provide complete pricing information. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: All written responses must be received within 21 days of issuance of this RFI. Submissions should: (1) use Microsoft Word or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF); (2) be sent to the point of contact listed in this notice; (3) be minimum 11 font on 8.5 X 11 paper; (4) be complete, sufficiently detailed, and organized in a manner that tracks to the information requested in this RFI; (5) include a single company point of contact with name, title, address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address(es); and (6) not exceed 10 single sided pages in total (not including cover page and cover letter). Other media types (i.e. CD, printed technical information) that meet the submission criteria above will be accepted and should be sent. Material that is advertisement only in nature is not desired. Any questions or inquiries must be mailed, e-mailed or faxed to the Contracting Office, to the attention of the point of contact listed in this notice.
