- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office has a future requirement Corpus Christi Ship Channel, Texas, Inner Basin To Viola Turning Basin and La Quinta Channel, In Nueces County, Texas - Pipeline Dredging. This action requires the contractor to perform maintenance dredging of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel (CCSC), Texas, Inner Basin To Viola Turning Basin and La Quinta Channel, approx. $2.7 million cubic yards with fourteen (14) Options. There may be additional or less Options. Options included for (1) CCSC Inner Harbor Pipeline Dredging 370,000 yds, (2) Pipeline dredging La Quinta Jct and CCSC (1 million yds), (3) Rincon Channel (185,000 yds), dredging 8 Non Federal docks (100,000 yds), and PA effluent ditch relocation. The Options include Non Federal dock dredging, CCSC Inner Harbor pipeline dredging and pipeline dredging La Quinta Jct, Rincon Channel and Placement Area (PA) effluent ditch relocation. This pipeline dredging procurement will be for Deep Channel. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 165 calendar days with additional days for the Options to be determined upon Solicitation release. There are 13 Options which include an additional 195 calendar days if all the Options are exercised. See the Option Clins when the Solicitation is released for the details. The order of magnitude for this effort is estimated between $15,000,000.00 to $20,000,000.00. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin dredging within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $1,824.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The Government contemplates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This will be an Unrestricted procurement. This synopsis is not an obligation of the Government and all information sent in is voluntary. The Solicitation will be issued on or about 12 May 2016, under Solicitation Number: W9126G-16-B-0009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. The Subcontracting goals for the Galveston District are: 35.0% - Small Business; 13.0% - Small Disadvantaged Business; 10.0% Woman-Owned Small Business; 9.0% Hubzone Small Business; 3% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business; 2.0% Historically Black College (HBCU)/MI. The Contractor must perform at least 65 percent of the work with its own equipment.
