Notice Information Solicitation: DTMA95Q1600006 Agency/Office: Maritime Administration (MARAD) Location: U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (Procurement) Title: Wiley Hall Rooftop AC Repair Description(s): The Department of Transportation (DOT) Maritime Administration has a requirement for Rooftop AC Repair services at Wiley Hall U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Kings Point, NY 11024. This sources sought synopsis is for the purpose of conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement to restore air conditioning to proper operation in Wiley Hall. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this Request for Information (RFI). Contact with Government personnel other than those specified in this RFI by potential offerors or their employees' regarding this project is prohibited. Interested respondents will need to be registered and active in the System of Award Management (SAM). If a solicitation is later released, it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate a respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Requirements: The United States Merchant Martine Academy (USMMA) is an agency of the Maritime Administration (MARAD) managed by the United States Department of Transportation. The USMMA seeks a qualified and experienced contractor to provide labor, material, tools, and equipment to restore the air conditioning in the Yocum Sailing center to operation. The USMMA is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Therefore, all work shall be consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (36 CFR part 68) http://www.nps.gov/tps/standards/four-treatments/treatment-guidelines.pdf. Additionally, all work shall meet or exceed the standards provided in the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and guidelines for applying the standards published by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior 36 CFR 67.7 - Standards for rehabilitation. 0001: Restore the air-conditioning to proper operation in Wiley Hall The contractor shall remove, replace and install NEW, updated, matching, control components for the three AC rooftop units Model MPS0005 and MPS010. The contactor shall be responsible for all the electrical, and mechanical work required for the completion of this work. The contractor shall prepare, disconnect, and remove the old components in accordance with all applicable Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and local regulations. The Contractor will Install, the new equipment in accordance with EPA and local regulations and demonstrate that the equipment is operating as per factory specifications All Material including waste and excess used within the scope of this contract is the total responsibility of the contractor, all use, removal and disposal must be in accordance with any and all EPA Regulations. 1. Install new BACnet controllers on all three (3) rooftop package units (McQuays). 2. Remove and replace suction temp sensor on McQuay Package Unit (model AGZ050D) 3. Remove and replace existing discharge temp sensor on gas fired rooftop package McQuay unit (model # MPS040FG2DV1CYBV). 4. Start up, program and check operation of (3) existing rooftop package units. The applicable NAICS code 333415 Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing a small business size standard of $1.25 in annual revenue. Note: The interested vendors list of this notice will not be used for decision making purposes for any small business set asides. For your business to be considered as a potential vendor for set aside purposes you must submit a Capabilities Statement as requested by this notice.
