- Description
- Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, New Jersey, has a requirement for commercial-off-the-shelf Wheel and Brake Dollies. NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for the procurement of twenty-two (22) each Wheel and Brake Dollies (sixteen (16) each for the United States Navy and six (6) each for the Royal Australian Air Force), in support of the P-8A Poseidon Program. This item is used to perform aircraft maintenance tasks including removal and installation of the wheels and brakes on the P-8 aircraft. The Wheel and Brake Dollies must meet the following requirements: • Towable • Swivel Casters with caster locks • Strap Restraints for the Wheel Assembly • Capacity = minimum 600 lbs. • Tire and brake diameter range = 30 to 60 inches, minimum and maximum respectively • Max Lift = minimum 5 inches This requirement will be solicited on a competitive basis as 100% small business set aside, with award being made to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Offeror. For this solicitation, NAWCAD Lakehurst Contracts Department intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
