In Reply Refer To: 586/90C DATE: May 31, 2016 TO: MATOC Contractors FROM: Network Contracting Office 16 SUBJECT: Pre-Proposal Vendor Notice of Project No. 586-12-203 Renovate 4A to Expand Inpatient Ward 1.The Government proposes to issue a task order of MATOC, IDIQ for the above referenced project. 2.The magnitude of construction for this project is estimated to be between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. 3.Coefficient for standard work hours applies to this project. 4.The recommended period of performance is 426 calendar days maximum. 5.Your proposal shall also include a proposed period of performance, if the recommended period of performance is not feasible. 6.You are being provided an abbreviated Statement of Work for the project. After the pre-proposal site visit it is your responsibility to prepare a final statement of work and drawings, if needed, in support of your proposal. 7.The Contracting Officer's Representative for this requirement is Jason Steed at Jason.steed@va.gov. Pre-proposal visit is schedule for 4/7/2016 at 10:00am. Coordinate pre-proposal location with Mr. Steed (bldg. I, first floor, room I-101). 8.The tentative date for posting the solicitation to the Vendor Portal is around April 18, 2016. 9.Tentative Bid Opening will be on or about Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00PM local time. 10.The point of contact for this solicitation is Contract Specialist, Renardo Hollowell; email address: Renardo.hollowell@va.gov. Telephone requests will NOT be accepted. Abbreviated SOW Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and expertise necessary to construct, replace and renovate space to expand Inpatient Ward 4A, for the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Medical Center located in Jackson, MS. The project will renovate approximately 12, 500 square feet of an existing space located on the 4th floor, A-Section of the GVMMC. The current area houses various administrative offices and work areas and proposes to be renovated into inpatient medical ward, housing approximately 16 private bedrooms with private baths and all required support spaces and functions. It is expected that area will require complete demolition and reconstruction to meet new functional requirements. The proposed design shall apply standards from VA Space Planning Criteria, Chapter 100: Medical/Surgical Inpatient Units to the extend practical based on existing conditions and budget considerations. The NAICS is 236220 applies and size standard is $36.5.0 Million. This procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. To be eligible for award the SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.ccr.gov; www.orca.bpn.gov; and www.vets100.vets.dol.gov. Those desiring to receive an award from this solicitation also must be registered at www.vetbiz.gov. Companies must have the Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE) seal on their registration to be considered for an award.
