- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The requirement involves a service to Repair on Station One (1) General Electric CT X-Ray System Model: Optima CT 660. THIS IS A 'ONE TIME' EMERGENCY REQUEST REQUIRING 'IMMEDIATE' ACTION. The Scanner is used to perform biopsy services on patients suspected or verified as having Liver dysfunction. The subject scanner is a 'General Electric' product and the suggested vendor is a General Electric technician providing General Electric parts. The Scanner was acquired in 2010 and the warranty has run out. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided. NAICS Code is 811219. The Size Standards are $20.5 Million. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals, solicitations, or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Responses must be submitted in writing by Friday, March 25, 2016, and shall be sent to the CAVHS Contracting Office, Attention: Duane Bell, Contract Specialist; 2200 Ft. Roots Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72114 or by email at duane.bell@va.gov. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
