- Floor Plan Requirement/Customer Introduction Document Type: Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information Posted Date: 21 Mar 2016 Response Date: 4 Apr 2016 NAICS Code: 238990 - All Other Specialty Trade Contractors Small Business Size Standard: $15M This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes, and is not to be considered an invitation for bid, request for quotation, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. No reimbursement will be a made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this RFI or any follow up information request. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the information they provide. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received. The information will be used in a Market Research Report assessment of sources capable of installing two office spaces at the U.S. Army Asymmetrical Warfare Group (AWG) located at Fort Meade, MD. Therefore, no late submissions will be considered in the development of the Market Research Report. Description of Requirement 1. SCOPE. Install two additional office spaces on the second floor of Building 2287 using solid panel walls. Each office will require only two walls to be built. One office space will share an adjoining wall with a solid panel office and an exterior building wall. The second office will share an existing structural interior wall and an exterior building wall. The two walls being built for each office will join at a structural pillar. Walls to be installed will be wired for electricity and one electrical ceiling light will have to be moved and an additional light installed. Additionally, 42 "L" shaped work stations already present will need to be reconfigured with four in each of the offices and the rest in the open bay area outside the offices IAW attached schematic. 2. REQUIREMENT. Contractor shall provide all materials necessary to install two additional offices spaces with adequate lighting and a single door capable of having a swipe lock installed IAW attached schematic. Contractor shall ensure four (4) Government provided office spaces are in each office with the rest reconfigured outside the offices and configured IAW attached schematic. Contractor shall: a. Provide solid panel walls closely matched in color and style as the existing solid panel office. b. Provide 2 standard doors that closely match in color and style as the existing solid panel office. c. Install two walls, attached to existing walls to create the office space IAW attached schematic. d. Install electrical circuits to each new office and ensure an outlet is located at least every ten feet and installed according to code. All lighting in the office must be independently controlled by a light switch located just inside the door. e. Relocate one florescent, 3 tube light which in its current location will have one of the new walls run through the middle of, into the B2 created office space to a location that provides the best possible lighting. f. Install one Government provided florescent, 3 tube light outside the door of the B2 created office space. g. Ensure adequate lighting in each office space created. Contractor shall relocate and install new lights to the most appropriate positions if different than d. or e. above. h. Provide all electrical material and components, minus actual lighting fixtures, to accomplish the electric installation. i. Provide and install all trim required to ensure an aesthetic appearance. j. Reconfigure 42 Government provided work stations. Work stations are Steelcase products which are powered through a ceiling fed power pole or a wall outlet. k. Relocate or add ceiling fed power poles as necessary. l. Ensure each work station is completely powered. m. Install four Government provided work stations in each office newly constructed office and the one existing office and ensure they are configured IAW attached schematic and fully wired for power. n. Ensure all ceiling tiles are properly replaced upon completion. o. Ensure the work site is cleaned (broom clean) and all debris is removed. 2.1. The Government will provide access to Ft. Meade and the AWG compound, forty two work stations and one additional florescent light. 3. DELIVERABLES. DELIVERABLES Delivery Date Description QTY a. & b. NLT 15 days after award of contract c.& d.
