Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Atlanta VA Medical Center R&D Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Scanco for the repair of their Scanco CT40 system, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This equipment is necessary to perform the density and micro-structural analyses of bone samples by analyzing the density and structure of samples such as bone and other tissues and can also be used to create 3D images, specific to research. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
