Description
List of required instrumentations and devices. Special Notice. Naval Medical Center San Diego, Material Management-Acquisition intends to award a sole source purchase order to STRYKER ENDOSCOPY. Recent advances in the knowledge of and treatment of femoroacetabular impingement have led to the development of minimally invasive techniques to restore the biomechanics of the hip and delay or obviate the need for a total hip replacement. Tissue-Preservation Hip Platform is a comprehensive system of instrumentation and precision devices designed with a unified goal: optimal joint preservation, with minimal complication. The Orthopedic department is in need of a product that is used for Hip Arthroscopy diagnostic. The product must have 1. A bridge adaptor that aligns to our currently owned Stryker Hip scope 2. Must have a polymer cannula that adapts to Hip Stryker scope and bridge. 3. Polymer cannula must have a 4mm working diameter to ensure capsule incision can be made. The Orthopedic department is in need of a product that is used for Hip arthroscopy with labral repair for patients with high bone density. The product must 1. Be a 1.4 mm PEEK anchor. 2. Anchor must have straight and curved capabilities. 3. Anchor must align to currently owned Stryker guides. The Orthopedic department is in need of a product that is used for Hip arthroscopy with labral repair. The product must 1. Be a 1.4 mm all suture anchors. 2. Anchor must have straight and curved capabilities. 3. Anchor must align to currently owned Stryker guides. 4. Must come in Tie-able Tape and #2 force Fiber. The Orthopedic department is in need of a product that is used for Hip arthroscopy with Capsule closure. The products device 1. Must have a 45 and 70 degree angle option 2. Must be able to pass and retrieve suture using a single portal. 3. Needle tip must be 2mm to minimize potential damage to patient tissue. Stryker is the only known company that can meet the requested requirement of providing Hip Arthroscopy diagnostic, labral repair and capsule closure platform. This platform is a comprehensive system of instrumentation and precision products designed to provide patients the optimal joint preservation, with minimal complication. The Stryker Hip Platform is compatible with the existing Hip access sets and tissue preservation platform that is in use at NMCSD, and meets all of the capability requirements. Stryker Hip Arthroscopy diagnostic- The Flowport cannula has a polymer construction designed to reduce the potential for latrogenic damage and be gentle against joint surfaces. The flowport cannula has a 4mm working diameter that allows the Curved Stryker Samurai blade to create a capsulotomy. The Stryker Bridge can adapt to our currently owned Stryker hip scope and will adapt to our flowport cannulas to allow visualization throughout the procedure. Stryker labral Repair- Stryker's Nanotack Flex system is a 1.4mm PEEK anchor and 1.4 mm Flex drill bit. The flex design can facilitate anchor placement within close proximity to the rim for labral repair and has a high success rate of good purchase for patients with increased bone density. The "Flex" design allows the anchor to be implanted using our currently owned straight and curved Nanotack guides. Stryker labral Repair- Stryker's Nanotack Flex system is a l.4mm all suture anchor and 1.4 mm Flex drill bit. The flex design can facilitate anchor placement within close proximity to the rim for labral repair. The all suture base system allows for less bone removal during pilot hole creation without compromising pull out strength. The "Flex" design allows the anchor to be implanted using our currently owned straight and curved Iconix guides. Stryker Capsule Closure- the Stryker Slingshots pass and retrieve suture through a single portal using the Stryker transport cannula. The 2mm sharp tip on the slingshot allows for anatomic restoration of the capsule by not damaging the patient's tissue due to the low profile tip. The Stryker slingshot is loaded with a #2 zip line that has the optimal strength to close the capsule. These comprehensive systems of instrumentations and precision devices will be in use at the Naval Medical Center San Diego MOR - Orthopedics Department, 34800 Bob Wilson Drive, San Diego, CA 92134. Determination of this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a single source. It is the Government's belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of the needed comprehensive system of instrumentations and precision devices for the MOR - Orthopedics Department specific needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However any business that believes it can provide the needed products that fits the MOR - Orthopedics Department specific needs may give written notice to deadrick.o.robinson.civ@mail.mil by 17 March 2016. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.
