Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to enter into a contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for existing Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) services on the R3 Telecommunications Business Office (R3 TBO) Telephone and Data Systems Telecommunications (TDS) infrastructure. The proposed action is to provide telecommunications services at the VA facilities located at 205 Lakeshore Point, St. Mary's, Georgia (GA), 31558 and 1000 Pleasant Grove Place, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee (TN), 37122. These LEC services include 3 plain old telephone service lines/business lines, 2 primary rate interface lines, 130 direct inward dialing lines and 1 MetroE circuit 100mgb. The Contractor shall provide telecommunication services at the facility 24 hours per day, seven days per week with maximum service availability. The intended sole source award will be a firm-fixed price contract with TDS, 525 Junction Road, Madison, Wisconsin, 53717. The Statutory Authority for this effort falls under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 57110. This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. This notification shall close on March 18, 2016.
