- Description
- RFI-ACT-SACT-16-11 The intent of the project is to understand if big data analytics is capable and useful in terms of ACT's business through: -An assessment of the interest from industry and academia to collaborate with Allied Command Transformation on the topic of Big Data Analytics. -The gathering of insights on the current art-of-the-possible from industry and academia on the two examples, including the technological, organizational and operator's perspective. -The identification of possible demonstrations of solutions to support ACT's assessment. -The gathering of information related to the ability of the solutions to manage various levels of security. -The gathering of information on the full life cycle cost of possible solutions implementation Steps of the project •February 2016: publication and advertisement of the Request for Information. •20 March 2016: due date for the replies to the RFI. •May 2016: ACT communicates to responders its follow-on plan. Expected benefits to industry Through this collaboration with ACT, it is expected that industry will gain a keen awareness and knowledge of a possible NATO's future orientation and make the most of this valuable asset. ACT will also offer through the TIDESprint conference (ACT's Think-tank for IT Superiority, https://tide.act.nato.int) and some other possible venues, opportunities for industry to experiment and assess their progression since this use case may be applicable to other sections inside NATO. Taking into account NATO's perspective will also allow industry to enrich their studies with different views from the ones already explored by them.
