- Synopsis: Introduction: The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, CCAP-SCN, Natick Contracting Division, Ft Detrick, on behalf of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) intends to negotiate and award a single firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, 12800 E. 19th Ave, P18-8106 Aurora, CO 80045-2537, by authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The University of Colorado is the only source with the expertise and capabilities to perform hemolytic toxicity assessment of 8 aminoquinoline (8AQ) compounds in NOD SCID mice engrafted with human rbcs from patients with G6PD deficient blood. It is determined that no other source is capable of performing the effort necessary to meet the agency's requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Description of the supplies required to meet the agency's needs: This action is for a single service contract with the University of Colorado for technical expertise and support services necessary for hemolytic toxicity assessment of 8 aminoquinoline (8AQ) compounds in NOD SCID mice engrafted with human rbcs from patients with G6PD deficient blood The award will contain a Base ordering period with two additional option ordering periods. The requirement consists of the following: Base period (2016) CLIN 0001- Assessment of molecules for hemolytic toxicity in the NOD SCID Hemolysis model. Option Period 1 (2017) CLIN 0002- Assessment of molecules for hemolytic toxicity in the NOD SCID Hemolysis model. Option Period 2 (2018) CLIN 0003- Assessment of molecules for hemolytic toxicity in the NOD SCID Hemolysis model.
