Description

This is a Sources Sought in accordance with FAR 10.002. This is not a solicitation for quotes, neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kinds of offers will be considered in response to this Sources Sought. This is strictly for market research purposes. There will be no reimbursement for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or follow-up information requests. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge from industry concerning Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AERs). These medical devices are electromechanical machines that are microprocessor-controlled and designed for washing/cleaning and High Level Disinfection (HLD) of heat sensitive flexible GI endoscopes and their accessories. These machines are designed to replace some manual reprocessing steps and may limit exposure of personnel to liquid chemical germicides (LCGs). AERs all have disinfection and rinsing cycles, and some have detergent cleaning, alcohol flush, and or extended forced-air drying cycles. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. Based on the information gathered, a determination shall be made by the contracting officer, if a solicitation is issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 339112. RESPONSE INFORMATION: Response to this Sources Sought must be submitted to blake.mcilvane@va.gov. Each response will receive a confirmation email; if a confirmation is not received within 24 hours please call 202-679-2883. Please provide ALL of the following information: 1. Please provide responses to the questions listed in Attachment 1 RFI Questions. 2. Please fill out Attachment 2 6550 Appendix A. Responses must be received by this office on or before 4:00 PM EST on March 4, 2016.
