Description
Potomac Job Corps Sources Sought The work Architect/Engineer firm services for the redesign and updating the existing design and construction contract documents to comply with the current applicable adopted codes and construction administration (CA) services for completion of construction for three vocational skills training Buildings A, B, and C at the Potomac Job Corps Center, Washington DC. Design services include an assessment of the viability and integrity of previously installed, in-place construction, review of previously completed July 1, 2009 bid documents to ensure compliance with current adopted building and current energy codes; revisions to the previously completed bid documents to include demolition and replacement of select concrete elements of the existing construction, while preserving the erected steel elements and installed underground infrastructure. Each of the three buildings will contain hard vocational shop space as well as educational classroom areas. The buildings’ construction is comprised of interior and exterior CMU walls, structural steel frame with exposed steel roof framing, and metal roofing system. This project is currently being constructed on a previously existing landfill.
