- Military Sealift Command Ship Support Unit San Diego (MSC SSU SD) is conducting a sources sought in order to identify contractors that are qualified to repair the hydraulic systems of the Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Exchangers and Cooling System aboard USNS GUADALUPE (T-AO 200). Additionally, contractor shall demonstrate knowledge in SMART Inspection procedures and compliance as equipment must pass SMART Inspection. Abstract: This work item describes the requirement for the repair of the hydraulic systems of the Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG). Ship's Force reports EDG hydraulic system accumulators are all due for overhaul, cylinders were last rebuilt more than 5 years ago. Hydraulic start solenoid (Waterman Solenoid Valve) is overdue for overhaul and leaking oil past the seals. Manual start valve requires overhaul. Item Description: •· Pump, RCIPG PWR, 0.6GPM, 3000 PSI, Model RPA308112B, Manufacturer - AMBAC International Corporation. •· Start Mtr MAG LVP SZ 2 1SPD 1 WDG 440 V GP, Model CR206D104, Manufacturer - General Electric Co. Contractors would be required to perform the following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and the services of qualified field service technician to accomplish this work item. •· Coordinate with ship's force to secure and tag out system that is affected by this work item in accordance with Ship's Safety Management System. •· Contractor to overhaul of six (6) hydraulic accumulators, one (1) normally closed Waterman Solenoid Valve, one (1) Jamebury IMO-7 valve, and replace with new two (2) pressure gauges. •· Contractor to investigate and repair all hydraulic leaks to make hydraulic system leak free. Additional repairs shall be subject to a change order via RFP. The NAICS for this requirement is 811310 - "Commercial and industrial machinery and equipment (except automotive and electronic) repair and maintenance" and the small business size standard is $7.5 million.
